What are the differences between the retail and the deluxe versions?

In the Retail version you will find much less miniatures than in the Deluxe version: please refer to the campaign page to see which models (in the retail version) will be replaced with meeples. Please also consider that the Deluxe Version will be Kickstarter Exclusive: this means that it will be available only during this campaign and not in the stores, even if some retailers can partecipate to this kickstarter backing the Retailers Pledge. Last but not least, some of the Stretchgoals will be limited to the Deluxe version.

Will the game be released on my language?

Anno Urbis: The Fight for Rome will be 100% language indipendent. English and italian rulebooks will be included in the box and some other languages will be available online as PDF: for now the supported languages will be spanish, french and (maybe) german.

Will gameplay related stretch-goals be balanced with the rest of the game?

Yes, we have already done many balancing and playtesting games with most of the stretch goals, and we are still doing them to make sure the game feels balanced every time you play. The main reason they are not included in the base box is because designing, playtesting and adding a new component has a cost, that we can cover with the stretch-goal funding.

How can we contact you?

You can send us a private message here on Kickstarter (clicking on “Fengi Games” at the top of the KS page. This will take you to the creator page. On that page is a blue ‘Contact Me’ button there to send us a direct message). We will answer as soon as we can trying to clarify all your doubts and questions you may come up regarding this game. Our work schedule time is: Monday-Friday 9AM-19PM CEST (UTC+2), but we will always try to answer in 24 hours since the arrive of your message.

What about Brexit?

The answer (at this moment) is that nobody knows what will happen in the next months about Brexit: absolutely we will try to keep the UK-friendly thing and to confirm the shipment costs you can see in that section. If something would change about it, we will tell you immediately with a specific update.

Can I get multiples of my basic pledge? Do you have a group pledge offer?

Yes, by pledging an additional amount equal to the base pledge level you will receive another copy of the base game and all associated stretch goals. Please note that backers with an Early Bird pledge are limited to 1 Early Bird, any additional pledges will be normal pledges.

And yes, we also have an offer for group pledge. This is what we offer for group pledges:

4 games or more: -33% shipping + a discount of 5€ per copy 8 games or more: -50% shipping + a discount of 7€ per copy 12 games or more: -66% shipping + a discount of 10€ per copy

Click on manage your pledge to add the requested games, then please send us a private message to ask for the group pledge offer.

Will a 1€ pledge give me access to the Pledge Manager?

Yes, all backers will have access to the Pledge Manager, regardless of the amount they pledged. In that phase you will be able to upgrade to any pledge levels you want.

How much time it will takes until I get the game I backed?

As in the project page, shipments will be done on October 2020. Of course we will try to ship all games before, but i twill depend on amount of stretchgoals and concepts to be added in the game and production availability of our supplier.

Are Shipping costs included?

Yes, the shipping costs will be included automatically when you will pledge the game. However, you can add any items you want in the pledge manager phase, and then the shipping costs will be calculated again as well.

Do I need to be worried about english errors?

We are italians, but the final translations will be done by professionals mothertongue translators. A proof-reading phase will be done before the final approvation as well.

The cards will have a size of 63 mm x 88 mm.

The box of Anno Urbis: The Fight for Rome should be around 32 cm x 32 cm x 8 cm. Obviously this is a preliminary hypothesis, that could change also basing on the unlocked stretch goals.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
